Our ceramics teacher, Don Ryan, and I had been talking about the soil at SIG and the clay content. I hadn't heard back from Don for a few days... only to get the first-ever ceramic cup made from Soka clay! The soil analysis from Wallace Labs labeled it "clay loam", which Don re-confirmed with his pottery.
